Biography

Bernard Motulsky, who has a PhD in Philosophy and over 25 years of experience in communications and public relations, is co-author of the book Comment parler aux médias (How to Talk to the Media). Currently Chair of Public Relations and Marketing Communications at UQAM, he began his career as an editor and journalist before becoming a communications professor at Laval University.

He subsequently held several positions with a number of different organizations, including the Cossette Group, the Government of Quebec, the Montréal Exchange, and the Université de Montréal, where he was Director General of Communications until 2006. A keen observer and commentator, Mr. Motulsky has been Chair of the Advisory Board of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) in Quebec since 2005.

About the Chair in Public Relations and Marketing Communications

Founded in 2002, the Chair in Public Relations and Marketing Communications conducts research on particular issues and challenges related to the conditions and practices in public relations and marketing communications based on the democratization of information and the evolution of communications.
